Our Story: SOLIDKOSMOS is a spin-off of the the Embedded Systems Lab (ESLab) of the University of Piraeus Research Centre (UPRC) that is lead by Prof. Mihalis Psarakis. The spin-off was founded by a team of research engineers from the UPRC with a passion for enhancing the reliability of space systems.
Background and Motivation: The motivation for founding the UPRC company was elaborated from our team’s successful development of radiation testing and mitigation technologies for COTS SoC-FPGAs at the ESLab (si-cluster member). Recognising the commercial potential and the need for these innovations, we decided to transform our research achievements into commercial products.
Our Vision: SOLIDKOSMOS envisions becoming a global leader in providing solutions that mitigate the effects of space radiation on programmable logic devices. Our mission is to ensure that satellite systems remain resilient and reliable, safeguarding mission success and data integrity.
